DISTANCE Male

Distance Racing- 14 km Distance... off the beach at Torre Abbey Sands, Torquay, then head to the other side of TorBay near Elburry Cove along the coast.

Anyone can enter!  

This is going to be a BLAST for the competitors as you will be taking in the awesome English Riviera views and just as much FUN for the spectators as there are multiple sites to watch the race!

Single race (depending on numbers).

AGE categories -

• 39 and under
• 40 to 49
• 50 to 59
• 60 and over

It's £25 to enter and there will be prizes for the 1st age category for male and female.  All competitors receive a SUPERCHAMPS sustainable medal.

12.15 Event Briefing- Promenade  (next to start/Finish)

12.30 Male/ Female Start

Deep water start and finish. Paddle to Elberry Cove 7km from Torquay. Follow the contours of the coast, staying inside the 5 knot markers at all times. When you reach Elberry Cove, there will be a large pyramid buoy to mark the turn. Follow the return route, staying inside the 5 knot markers and beware of other paddles.

Beware to stay inside the 5 knot markers, some 'Sea Grass' buoys are present and can be mistaken for 5Knot markers if you are not paying attention.

Course change

Due to the conditions, it may be essential to change the course location or times.

Cancellation

If the event is cancelled for any reason, all entries will be transferred to the following year.  Unfortunately, due to costs we have already paid, we cannot refund. If you require to cancel your place, we allow you to transfer your place to someone else up to 14 days before the event.  No refunds can be offered, only transferred to another competitor, this costs us £5 to transfer in fees so this fee will be transferred to the new competitor. IF YOU WANT TO DEFER YOUR ENTRY TO 2025 DUE TO INJURY/ LACK OF TRAINING/ ANYTHING ELSE, YOU CAN DO THIS BUT AT A £10 CHARGE.  Within 14 days of event start, no transfers or DEFER TO 2026 can be made and no refunds.
