Technical Racing- 1.5km (approx) 2x laps TECHNICAL... off the beach into multiple buoy turns, Torre Abbey Sands, Torquay.  

Anyone can enter!  

This is going to be a BLAST for the competitors (buoy turns galore) and just as much FUN for the spectators (easy spectator watching from the promenade)!

Single race (depending on numbers).

AGE categories -

  • 39 and under
  • 40 to 49
  • 50 to 59
  • 60 and over

It's £15 to enter and there will be prizes for the 1st in each age category for male and female.  All competitors receive a SUPERCHAMPS sustainable medal.

Technical Race will take place on Saturday 28th September-

  • Technical Racing

    SUP technical racing is a slalom competition where competitors put their speed, and steering skills to the test. We will be starting in the water (knee depth just off beach), paddle out through course marked with multiple buoy turns.

    After completing the first laps, athletes must land on beach, run around flag then head back out for a second lap.  Once completed the second and landed on beach, sprint the 5ish metres to cross the finish line.

Course change

Due to the conditions, it may be essential to change the course location or times.

Cancellation

If the event is cancelled for any reason, all entries will be transferred to the following year.  Unfortunately, due to costs we have already paid, we cannot refund. If you require to cancel your place, we allow you to transfer your place to someone else up to 14 days before the event.  No refunds can be offered, only transferred to another competitor, this costs us £5 to transfer in fees so this fee will be transferred to the new competitor. IF YOU WANT TO DEFER YOUR ENTRY TO 2025 DUE TO INJURY/ LACK OF TRAINING/ ANYTHING ELSE, YOU CAN DO THIS BUT AT A £10 CHARGE.  Within 14 days of event start, no transfers or DEFER TO 2026 can be made and no refunds.
